Our Policies


COVID-19 - (Updated January 3, 2022)

Mask wearing is no longer required inside of Tulip Hair Studio, however, if you prefer for your stylist to wear a mask during your appointment, please do not hesitate to ask.

Only clients receiving a service will be allowed in Tulip Hair Studio.

All surfaces will be disinfected between each service and an air purifier will be running at all times.

New smocks and capes will be given to each client and promptly washed after each use.

Please do not come to your appointment if you have been sick or compromised in the 14 days.

And as always, please arrive on time for your appointment. Tardiness may result in rescheduling to a future date & you will be charged as a missed appointment.

Booking

It is preferred that all appointments are scheduled using Tulip Hair Studio’s online booking software.

All online bookings are subject to review and, if changes need to be made, notification will be given via text.

Suggestions for services are provided on the booking pop-up page, and we have a Session Finder Form to help, but feel free to email your stylist if you are still unsure.

Payment Storage

In order to schedule an appointment you will need to enter your credit card information which will be safely and securely stored for use in checking out.

Cancellations / Rescheduling

We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 48 hours before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee at the rates listed below.

  • Less than 48 hours - 50% of service total

  • Less than 24 hours - 100% of service total

Should we need to enforce our cancellation policy we will be in touch, via text, to confirm collection of the fee. If we do not hear from you regarding confirmation of the payment within 48 hours, we reserve the right to charge your card on file.

By booking an appointment you have accepted, and understand, the cancellation/no show policy and agree not to do a charge back with your banking institution. A statement will be forwarded to your banking institution to void and cancel my dispute if you attempt a chargeback for a no-show/cancellation charge.

Tardiness

Tardiness : Clients running more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled appointment may be asked to pay for additional time, reschedule completely and incur a 100% no-show fee, or have services altered to ensure that the appointment does not exceed the amount of time originally scheduled. If services are altered you will still pay the full amount of your time reserved. This is wholly at the discretion of your stylist and Tulip Hair Studio.

Refunds / Redos

It is important to us that you love your hair and want to know if you have any issues with your service. That said, Tulip Hair Studio does not offer refunds on any services. Redos are offered but the following stipulations apply & redo requests must be made via email within 7 days of the original appointment.

  • If you would like something different than what was discussed during your pre-service consultation, and the expectations laid out by your stylist, you will need to schedule, and pay for, a new appointment to redo.

  • If your stylist wasn't able to successfully execute, to you satisfaction, what was discussed and agreed upon during the pre-service consultation, your stylist would be happy to fix it at no further cost to you.

Retail Returns

Tulip Hair Studio will happily exchange any lightly used products from the salon toward another product within 30 days of the original purchase.

Damaged Peronsal Items

Tulip Hair Studio is not responsible for damaged personal items, such as clothing, bags, shoes, electronic devices, etc.

  • Please be mindful of the fact that we are working with color, chemicals and water through the duration of your service, and prepare for your visit accordingly.

Child Safety

We kindly request that children not accompany parents to Tulip Hair Studio during sessions. While this policy helps ensure that our guests enjoy a relaxing salon experience, it was created with your child’s safety in mind. Our salon is rather small and not child-proof - Sharp instruments, hot styling tools, chemicals, and a congested area makes for a potentially dangerous environment for your young children.

  • Only children receiving services may be present in our service areas.

    • If you have multiple children receiving services, we request that an additional caretaker is available to supervise any child in the waiting area.

Salon Etiquette

Tulip Hair Studio is a safe and inclusive space for all. Discriminatory/derogatory statements and actions are prohibited at Tulip Hair Studio and will absolutely not be tolerated.
